Welcome to The Laurels! The wild beasty Wisteria is slowly consuming the garage, but the way I see it: we don’t REALLY need a garage but we do need a wild beasty Wisteria. 🙂 One day I will save the garage and build the Wisteria an arbor to replace the gutter it is currently clinging to. Before: The Kitchen

The kitchen is on the tinier side, only 10’4 x 9’8″.  At one point, according to Aunt Sheila who grew up here with my husband’s dad and uncle, this room use to be two. The bathroom was on the left and the scullery was on the right. She’ll need the tiles knocked down, a new floor (stained plywood…kind of wabi sabi meets scandi…in the ghetto) and new cabinetry. Into the room from the hallway, the kitchen opens up on the left just out of view. Facing into the hallway, the board above the door is the old servant bell board. Facing into the room from the kitchen. Check out what was under that wall the radiator is on here. The old servant bell board. The wires still run under the floor board, it is just a matter of reconnecting them again.
