SOmething about giving our $8,000 down payment on a house to the gov’t so  banks are bailed out is not on my happy list 2:14 PM I bet 2:14 PM Where can I watch it in real time, I’ll grab the booze 2:14 PM how can we make it a drinking game? So here it is, anytime the little blue ticker goes down another 50 points, take a swig of whatever you got. When it goes up, take another swig (fair what, it’s the fun that counts) :(

David and the Grey Hair

Sitting at the Stuart Art Fest today, hovering over the “too cool for school” hubby…I found me a grey hair (on his head). I wanted to share with you the grey hair…

Later, still angry over the finding of the grey hair, he started picking at my hair, desperately searching for something out of place. Finally, he pulled a sun highlight, danced around joyously and had his happies. I didn’t have the heart to tell him grey hairs are wiry…and, oh yeah, grey!

Laundry Day

I had a moment today…to breathe. It was the first day in months I was able to just appreciate the moment. I’ve been perpetually running…bouncing back and forth to Stuart, running events, interviewing, organizing, emailing. There has been a few breaks in the recent weeks…a chance to go with the girls to the park, a chance to go golfing, a chance to grab a bite to eat.

Today, however, I was able to do what I needed. I don’t know if things just fell in a rhythm, were finally able to slow down or what. But I had the chance to notice the way the light was hitting off of the laundry (to do laundry for that matter), not to mention grab the camera and give my garden some much needed close ups.

Little Dragonfly on the Pepper plant nomming bugs. He was fun to watch as he alternated between sitting patiently on the pepper plant and flitting out to catch a passing bug, then back to the perch.
